Jack has been involved in the research and development of energy recovery on farm using poultry litter since 1998. His involvement with various Universities in Ireland in the examination of alternative energy technologies has led him to examine all aspects of fluidised bed combustion.

Working with the Department of Agriculture, the Environmental Protection Agency and other regulatory authorities, he has highlighted the need to deal with litter disposal in a modern, sustainable manner.
