bhsl is the promoter of SUPPER, an ECO Innovation supported project, which commenced in July 2011 and will be completed in January 2014, a total of 30 months. SUPPER will demonstrate an on-farm, robust, low-cost solution for the recycling of poultry litter into thermal power, electrical power and high P fertiliser. The project will be concerned with overcoming regulatory, financial, market and other barriers limiting take up. It will also evaluate extension of the system to other biomass.

Eco Innovation provides support for innovative environmental initiatives in order to overcome the barriers to market acceptance. It is principally targeted at SMEs which have previously piloted an environmental innovation.
